End of Summer Adventures aka: Running Away from Project "FIX THE PATIO"

Bellingham

Well, this sucks... they are jack hammering outside our patio door. We better run away. Where can we go? Let's go to Bellingham and then back to Seattle and go swim in that lake again.

Seattle

It was super hot the day we got to Seattle... we decided to wait to go to the lake until the next day... and it started raining?! One day we will spend the day at the lake and make a bbq. We did the second best thing and took the train to the city. Christian loves the train.

Whistler

We came home and got a nice bamboo fence to block out the views, bring us some shade, and give us some security.

But.. the drilling continued on Monday... and got closer! Off to Whistler.

Fun adventures to run away from the noise and dust... wish we would have known the extent of the work - we could have flown into Vegas from Florida... and stayed their for cheaper!!

Vegas Annibirthversry Days: May 16 - 20, 2013 - The Boy's First Flight

My birthday started on Wednesday when we were still in Vancouver. Jonny, Christian, and I went for a walk and chill. Jonathon got his hairs trimmed up and we sat at a couple of different city spots and enjoyed the different flavours and views. Christian's new favourite things to put in his mouth are water bottles.... and... Gatorade bottles...  At one of our chill spots Jonny gave me my birthday presents... I scored! I also won ten bucks on crossword scratch and wins. It was a great day that started with swimming and ended with beers with G in Gastown. None of it was planned it just was one of those nice sunny I am leaving for Vegas on my birthday tomorrow days.  The next morning came too soon. A hang over is never fun and it is even less fun with a baby that wakes up and is ready to go and is smiling at you an...

Is that a leaf blower?

I was walking back from the beach and there was a man in the parking lot fiddling around with what looked like a hand made leaf blower. I was staring at it and then looking around for leaves but I couldn’t see any. Hmmm.. I went to my room and was reading my book and I heard this loud noise. This must be the weed wacker.. what.. you know what I mean! THEN, the smell and fog hit me. I am outta here. I know what this is. This for the nyamuks! (mosquitos!) I went away and ran some errands and came back to a dengue/malaria free zone. I guess this is a good thing… but now that I see, hear, and smell how it is done I also question how safe was that fog that I breathed in? Wave report: The waves are still small! I don’t mind too much. I know that it will be huge on Sunday and then they will be too big! Run report: I went for a quick 3km tempo this morning. I was listening to the Roots – How I Got Over – the whole time. That is all I have been listening too since it came out and it is help...
