Our summer adventure began by leaving Frank Hurt a week early, the same time as the students. We drove to Bellingham and stayed at the hotel by the Slo Pitch. We had snacks and went swimming. Step one: Get through the border was done. The next mission was to make it through the Seattle traffic. We also stopped off at Bellis Fair and got a new hat for Big Boy as he left his in grandma's basement before we left.

In Seattle we stayed by the airport and found Angle Lake. It has a beach, BBQ spots, a play park, and a water park... and washrooms. I didn't have my suit on this time, because we thought it was just a water park, but next time, I am jumping in. Big Boy didn't want to go in without me.
We flew from Seattle to Charlotte and from Charlotte to Jacksonville. We got there late at night and I had school at White Oak the very next morning. We lost three hours during our travel but somehow, I still was able to wake up early and hit the Walmart for groceries / supplies for the week for the boys and I.

Nothing fancy here - just a few memories from the summer.
First night at the beach :-) Mornings in Mailbu Christian played in the water in his wet suit. He was swimming and touching the ground. Waiting for tacos. Two pork tacos - only two... any more is too many. Ceviche - sushi of the south - so good! So worth the wait. Peanut butter bear hugs. Big chippies from the ceviche. Big bears at the sushi spot while doing laundry. Garden play. Beach track. Looking for spots. Morning skates. Morning park play. Riding a bumble bee backwards. Sweaty mama. Carrie and I's street. The annual Dad and Boy picture. The Pirate Park No waves Floating in the ocean. Washing clothes. Banana! I found Lip Smackers roll on shiner!! WHAT?! YAY! Nap time before our late night on the pier. New girlfriend. ...
My birthday started on Wednesday when we were still in Vancouver. Jonny, Christian, and I went for a walk and chill. Jonathon got his hairs trimmed up and we sat at a couple of different city spots and enjoyed the different flavours and views. Somewhere along our travels we lost Sophie the giraffe and wish her well in her new life. I envision her with a cute little puppy squeaking happily. Christian's new favourite things to put in his mouth are water bottles.... and... Gatorade bottles... At one of our chill spots Jonny gave me my birthday presents... I scored! I also won ten bucks on crossword scratch and wins. It was a great day that started with swimming and ended with beers with G in Gastown. None of it was planned it just was one of those nice sunny I am leaving for Vegas on my birthday tomorrow days. The next morning came too soon. A hang over is never fun and it is even less fun with a baby that wakes up and is ready to go and is smiling at you an...
