Vegas Birthday Wedding! May 14 - 18, 2011

That is right... the rumours are all true. I got hitched in Vegas on my 37th birthday. So, I guess from now on this Star Adventure Log will be a Jonny and Paula Star Adventure Log! Our Vegas adventure starts with a beer at YVR.
We didn't pack all so awesomely and had to get some supplies when we got to Vegas. Where to stop but the Walgreens where Jonny found Twinkies! He treated the Twinkies really well and even let them snuggle with us in the King bed.
While Jonny was finding Twinkies - I found really large cans of all my favourite beers. One of each please! Our hotel, The Tuscany, is conveniently located around the corner from my favourite store - 711!
Here is Jonny with a pole up his ass!
Here is Jonny chasing me around the pool with the camera... he got me!

I found the Ninja Turtles at the Outlet Mall. This was the Premium Outlet Mall at the North end of Vegas and it cost about $20 to get there in a cab. I bet the Ninja Turtles woulda taken us for free!! Next time boys!
My camera with the flash broke so I was using my Iphone 3G - no flash - so I got Jonny to sit close to the light. This is our random casino shot.
After the outlets we went to the old part of town to pick up our marriage license. A little Mexican who was also there with his woman getting a marriage license gave Jonny a special arm squeeze which was ... well I said it already - special. It really made Jonny appreciate the special moment that we were all sharing together.

I had to take a picture of the Jabbawockeez sign. They were dancing at the Monte Carlo.
We ran into friends from Vancouver in a convenience store on the strip. We hung out for one night and then we never found them again... well - until we got home. Too bad they found us on the night we were trying to be good... we should have hung out longer!!
This is my birthday!! This is the day... and we still don't have the rings.. off to the mall.. booooo!!! But.. Jonny got me a birthday ice cream at Dairy Queen when I got mall cranky.
And that made me HAPPY!
Jonny's favourite buildings.
This is not Jonny's favourite building... but it is his favourite girl!
Jonny and the skull by the pirate ship.
We hit a Ross and I got new shoes that match Jonny's!! I scored with shoes.. I got three new pairs!! BUT.. how can you say no when they are only $30???
We ate at the America twice - we had steak and crabs - yummy!! OH.. and salad!

There is the crab we were eating...
Then it started eating Jonny!!!
OK! The moment you have all been waiting for.... the wedding!! We were trying to get a drive through wedding going - but they made us get out. I guess you shouldn't let the def girl order your wedding over the phone. I think these pics pretty much speak for themselves.... take a gander...

After wedding snack!!
Our hotel room - we love the Tuscany and we will be back!!

Ellis Island - next to 711 - Micro brewery - where the cabbies suggested going ... We will be back here too.. with cowboy hats!

Time to go back to the outlets to return my Nike hoodie that had a hole in. (So much for saving money.. taxis are $20 each way remember)

God billboard on the way to the outlets
New York?
Jonny on a turtle at the airport.
Me playing with the Iphone in the plane... cropping pictures and stuff...
We thought we would end with beers too - these were by our pool. (Good thing it is Friday tomorrow - this blog is making me thirsty!!) THE END!

Ankle Day 13

It costs 30 000Rp for half an hour to use the computer at this hotel! I pay like 2 000 back by my old place. It bugs me that it is so expensive... but I guess I am paying for convenience. I am stuck. I can't run away and I can't do what I want when I want. I am dependent on other people and it is great that I have those people.. but I am so independent.. that it is ... sucking in my brain. Ya know? I AM the kid who will run home and go to bed when she is done. I can't do that now. I have to wait or ruin people's fun. WHA! hahaha.. I am fine. Everyday is getting better and today is off to the doctor. It will be Sam's first time meeting Dr. Brown! Today at 12 is also the last day of my antibiotics! Sam is making me ask the doctor if I can have beer... there will always be that double standard! He is taking care of his sister.. but come on.. I had a screw put in my ankle I deserve a beer!! They shoulda had a cold Bintang besar waiting for me as they woke me up from my

California Toddler Tripping: The Last Few Days and Home

Here are a few photos and a video from the last few days of our vacation. This was the best family vacation to date. Of course there were tough times traveling with a toddler but we overcame each challenge as a family and amazing memories were made. I feel very lucky and appreciative to have such an amazing life.  AND… one more video: And then… back to the rain :-( We got another patch for Auntie Mary's quilt.
